The Small Plants I Didn't Expect to Love
Somewhere along the way, my windowsill turned into a little indoor garden without me really planning it. A trailing pothos here, a stubborn orchid there, and a few cuttings that rooted before I could talk myself out of keeping them.
There's a stained-glass suncatcher hanging in that window too - something picked up in Scotland - and every morning when the light comes through, it lands right across the leaves. It's become one of my favorite little corners of the house, not because it's perfect, but because it's mine.
I think that's the thing about plants nobody tells you: you don't need a big garden or a green thumb to feel like a plant parent. Sometimes it's just one windowsill, one mister, and a few plants that decided to stick around.
If you've got a windowsill collection of your own - even a small one- I'd love to hear what's on it.
